Miles for Mermaids

Writer: Avery GreatorexAvery Greatorex

In my final year of uni I have fallen to the curse of laziness and poor diet. I have decided not only to change my life but to raise funds to change others with the Miles for Mermaids challenge.

As a past user of the Mermaids service, I can confidently say their work is not only necessary, it can sometimes be life-saving

I'm getting active this March and taking action to change the lives of young trans people across the UK.

I'm challenging myself to get back into running in March for one very important reason. To help ensure trans young people and their families can continue to access the emotional, informative, and peer-to-peer support they deserve.

Mermaids' vision is a safe, inclusive society where trans young people are empowered to live their best lives.

Mermaids say: Our amazing supporters are the reason we’re able to keep helping the trans community, year after year. So this March, we’re asking you to get active with your fundraising by taking on Miles for Mermaids.

Circular logo with sneakers and text "Miles for Mermaids" on a turquoise background with icons of cyclists and swimmers. Vibrant and sporty mood.
