International Women's Day!

Updated: Apr 20

Happy International Women’s Day to ALL women out there. As a transwoman, this day often comes with personal conflict and a feeling of guilt, but it shouldn’t. Throughout my adult life and my discovery of my own gender identity, I have always loved to look into the history of the Suffrage movement and the strength of women to overcome adversity. Unfortunately due to internet stigma and hate, I don’t do this anywhere near as much anymore. The internet generally does a very good job of making transwomen feel guilty for calling themselves women or trying to engage in feminism and this shouldn’t be the case. Transwomen, just like the women of the past are overcoming adversity and pushing the boundaries of what was thought to be possible. Today is a day to celebrate all women and today I am proud to celebrate what I’ve managed to achieve as a transwoman.
