Derbyshire Young Labour Campaigns Officer Win!

Updated: Apr 20

This is quite late but I would like to thank everyone involved in voting for me to be the new Campaigns Officer at Derbyshire Young Labour!

We won this role with the DYL with the following statement:

“As an original founding member of DYL, I understand how crucial it is for young people to be involved in politics.

I have lived in Derbyshire all my life up until uni and I will forever work towards keeping and securing our county as a Labour-dominated county. I have worked closely with members of the committee over the establishment of our branch and, representing my home constituency of Derbyshire Dales alongside Georgia at the Annual Conference.

As Campaigns Officer I will ensure that our branch becomes a volunteering powerhouse for Derbyshire Labour constituencies, aiding their campaigns when possible. In addition, I also plan to host our own campaigns including (but not limited to) socials and, potential protests on important pressing issues. We as young people are in the best possible position to help our CLPs and we cannot allow our potential to go to waste. We are in a crisis and the country deserves better, we as a Young Labour Branch can deliver a better future for the country and our county.

Thank you, Avery”
