Avery Greatorex

Hello
Hello. I am Avery, my pronouns are she/her, and I'm a final-year Psychology Student at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Whether it is identity, student, or party politics, I am all over it. I take my key principles of Equality, Diversity, inclusion, and Fairness with me throughout my work making sure that the small voice doesn't become the ignored one!
My Story
Hi, I’m Avery Greatorex—a trans woman, activist, and advocate for equity, inclusion, and meaningful change. At UCLan, I’ve served as Chair of the LGBTQ+, Trans* Society and Labour Society, where I’ve worked to create supportive spaces, organise impactful events, and empower students to take action on issues that matter.

Beyond university, I co-founded Pride in Labour, an organisation dedicated to amplifying LGBTQ+ voices within the Labour movement. As Vice-Chair, I’ve led initiatives like conference planning, strategic goal-setting for 2025, and launching video content to engage and inspire others.

I’m passionate about fostering transparency, building communities, and driving campaigns that make a tangible difference. All this before I turned 21!
